Use a real, non-urgent whole-building quote such as an extension, refurbishment or conversion. A project you know gives you a basis for checking quantities, scope and rates. Isolated small trade or maintenance tasks may not be the best match for the complete workflow.

The first complete project includes the project details, estimate, risk breakdown, client reports and internal reports. It is a chance to review the whole workflow on one suitable job. Check the current purchase/plan details in your account before starting paid work; this does not promise unlimited regeneration.

Use current drawings, specifications, schedules and relevant notes affecting scope or price. Keep a document register and leave out superseded revisions. Record access, protection, occupied areas, supplied items and missing selections. Follow the file guidance shown by the uploader for supported formats and size limits.

Follow the progress and expected-time message in your workspace. Processing time is separate from checking the estimate and getting supplier clarifications. If an error appears, or progress is unclear beyond the guidance shown, use the generation checks before initiating another run.

No. Check scope, quantity source, unit, labour, material match, rate and assumptions before accepting a line. Confidence and completeness are review aids. If a source label does not match the evidence, verify the quantity and record the discrepancy.

Check one line from source to price.

Use your own current supplier evidence, labour basis and commercially appropriate rates when reviewing the estimate. The Settings walkthrough covers plant, trade rates and the price-library controls shown in that workflow. Check unit, product and scope compatibility before accepting a match; a similar product name alone is insufficient.

Use regeneration when the source or scope has materially changed, then recheck affected lines and totals. Preserve the issued version and your important reviewed decisions first. Do not assume old quotes automatically adopt a new release or that regeneration preserves every edit. If the change affects issued work, ask for help before replacing the customer-seen basis.

Use the Client Budget Report for a plain-English summary, Scope of Work for the formal quotation, and detailed reports when the recipient needs the itemised basis. Keep internal cost, material and QS-style working reports for their intended audience. A QS-style report is not independent professional sign-off.

Pause before issue. Check the quote version, active/excluded scope, report template, margin, contingency, VAT and displayed precision. Internal cost and client price must be compared on the same basis. Open the actual downloaded file rather than judging a preview alone.
