Resolve the blocker with a clear next step.
Work through the checks that match the symptom. Keep the source pack and issued documents safe, then contact Reuben if the result is still unclear.
I cannot reach my account or project
Finish with: Access to the correct account, or a useful support request.
- Use the Quotify sign-in page and the account email associated with the project.
- Follow the recovery option on the sign-in screen if needed. Do not create a second account simply to find an existing project.
- After access, confirm the active business/workspace before looking for the quote.
- If the account or project is still missing, contact Reuben with the account email, project name and the message shown. Never send a password.
Need help finding the right account or workspace?
Ask ReubenA file will not upload or read correctly
Finish with: A readable source set, or an identified file problem.
- Open the file locally and check it is readable and belongs to the current project revision.
- Follow the formats/limits displayed by the uploader. Record the filename, size and exact message if it is rejected.
- Check your connection before retrying an upload. Keep the original file; do not replace it with a lower-quality source just to get a successful upload.
- If upload succeeds but the result lacks the file or scope, compare the document audit with the source set. Ask for help with the specific file and missing content.
Generation failed or progress is unclear
Finish with: The current run identified without creating unnecessary duplicates.
- Read the progress and error message shown in the workspace. Note the project and time you started.
- Check whether a completed result already exists before starting another run. Repeated generation is not a remedy for an unclear status.
- If the application offers a recovery action, read its effect on the project/credits before using it. If unsure, ask Reuben rather than regenerating repeatedly.
- Send the project name/ID, step, start time and exact message. Keep any result already produced and the source pack.
Processing and your commercial review are different parts of the workflow. Product Updates records confirmed guidance; an in-test update is not a guarantee of a shorter run.
Describe the progress message and the action you last took.
Ask about this runA quantity, material or scope result looks wrong
Finish with: An evidence-backed correction or a precise issue to investigate.
- Identify the affected package and line. Compare its description and quantity source with the drawing, specification or supplied note.
- Check removal versus replacement scope; product family, pack size and units; waste and site conditions.
- Record the expected result and the source that supports it. Correct the working line where you can verify the basis, keeping the decision in your notes.
- Use regeneration for a material source/scope change only after preserving the current basis and reviewing what it will affect. Recheck the resulting lines before issue.
A PDF or workbook looks inconsistent
Finish with: A checked document or a specific discrepancy retained for support.
- Pause before sending. Open the actual downloaded file and confirm it belongs to the latest reviewed quote version.
- Compare active/excluded scope, the report pricing template, margin, contingency, VAT basis and displayed precision.
- Check net cost versus client price: internal cost and a VAT-inclusive quotation are different bases, so compare like with like.
- Verify displayed subtotals, VAT and total reconcile and read long descriptions/assumptions in the output.
- Keep the problematic file and relevant settings. Send Reuben the expected/actual values, report type and project/version if you cannot explain the difference.
Use the reconciliation checklist · blank editable sheet · completed example · printable example and the report-control walkthrough.
Send a support request that can be acted on
Finish with: A request with enough information to reproduce the problem.
- Account email and the business/workspace.
- Project name/ID and affected file, line or report type.
- The step you took; what you expected; what happened instead.
- The exact message and when it happened.
- A screenshot or redacted excerpt where it helps. Ask how to share sensitive client documents securely before sending them.
Send these details to reuben@yourquotify.com. Keep passwords out of the request.
