How long should I allow for a quote?
Quotify’s founder reported on 16 September 2026 that his project runs had taken 30 minutes or less, usually around seven minutes. These timings describe his runs, not the time every contractor needs for a reviewed quote. Allow time to check scope, quantities, rates and assumptions, resolve questions and approve your final price.
What happens after my free project?

Will it work for the kind of jobs I do?
Quotify is built for UK builders, main contractors, design-and-build firms and refurbishment contractors. Use it for extensions, refurbishments, conversions, new builds and light commercial projects. Smaller projects can be a good fit when the scope needs a structured estimate.
What if my drawings are incomplete?
Quotify flags missing information, records assumptions and grades risks against the parts of the job they affect. You get clarification questions to take back to the client or architect, so you can resolve the unknowns before agreeing your price.
Can I change the prices and use my own margin?
Yes. Rates, quantities, line descriptions, package structure, margin and contingency are editable. Review the suggested costs and replace them with your own labour rates or supplier prices where appropriate. You control the final price and what appears in the client report.
What do I need to get started?
Create an account, confirm your email and name your workspace. Then add your project details and any relevant drawings, specifications or notes. Start with a job you are pricing now, or use a previous project to compare the result. No call is needed to get started; help is available if you want it.
Does Quotify send anything to my client?
No. You generate your client reports after reviewing and adjusting the estimate. You choose what to include and when to send it. Quotify never contacts your client or commits you to a price.
