The work behind every quote
Preparing a quote means finding time to work through the calculations as well as doing the job. For Stephen Tarr, there was a lot of detail to get through before he could put a price in front of his customer.
He expected that sitting down and calculating it all himself would take days. Quotify gave him another way to tackle the work.
Detailed calculations in about 25 minutes
Working from his phone, Stephen used Quotify to prepare his quote. In his follow-up call, he put the time at about 25 minutes and singled out how much detail the output contained.
That was the value for Stephen: getting through the calculations in about 25 minutes, instead of the days he expected to spend working them out manually.
“Maybe it took 25 minutes, but there's a lot on it.”

From calculations to a quote he could send
Stephen sent the quote to his customer. The feedback he reported was encouraging: the price was around what they had expected.
Quotify had helped him get beyond working through the numbers and put a quote in front of the person making the decision. He offered to leave a good review and recommend Quotify to someone else pricing work.
For Stephen, the benefit was practical: less time on manual calculations and a detailed quote he could share with his customer.

Try this review on your own project
- Start with the drawings, specifications and notes you would normally use to price the job. Identify anything that still needs a customer or supplier answer.
- Check a familiar quantity and a high-value rate, then work through scope, allowances and exclusions before setting your final price.
- Read the client pack alongside the reviewed estimate. Check the scope and totals before sending it.
